Owned and operated by Delmarva natives, David and Bill Bennett, for the past 54 years, Bennett Construction “…is constantly striving to find new ways to serve the local community,” says Bennett general manager, Bruce Giordano. Bennett Construction, whose roll-off dumpsters can be seen at homes and on jobsites all over Delmarva, has recently teamed up with several area businesses and agencies in an attempt to promote recycling of construction materials and other more environmentally friendly building practices.
Bennett now announces the creation of a new junk removal division which will serve the community by providing a team of bonded and insured servicemen who will, for a very affordable fee, remove unwanted items from area homes and businesses and then recycle as much as possible back into the community through local relief and charitable organizations. “It just seemed like a natural progression for the company,” says Giordano, “to move into this specific service area. Having provided roll-off dumpsters for self-removal of junk, debris and construction materials for so many years, and after having gotten involved in various recycling projects, it makes a lot of sense for us to branch out into the junk removal sector. There are a lot of people out there who would like to dispose of unwanted items in their homes, for example, who don’t really have the time or ability to carry these heavy items away or the resources to find places that may be able to use these items – now we can provide these services.” Items that cannot be recycled back into the community will be taken to area landfills for disposal.
Bennett Construction, which also provides demolition, sitework, stone, fill dirt, topsoil and storage containers, has also recently revamped their websites to make getting information and ordering services as easy as possible for area customers. “We’re responding to the needs of the 21st Century – with our environmental concerns and use of technology - while, at the same time, keeping the friendly, personal service that all of our customers have come to expect from a local business” concludes Giordano.
